Rail Services

Merseytravel supports the high level of service on the network working with rail operators to develop and promote rail travel. Information on services is available at every station, in the ticket office, on platforms, or from station staff as well as by telephone enquiry. Most stations are staffed first train to last train, seven days a week.

Many rail stations are now over 100 years old and accessible features were not part of their original construction. Consequently, access can be less than ideal.

This guide will tell you by local district which stations are the easiest and most convenient to use.

Most station car parks are free of charge to rail users.

There are no toilets on Northern or Wirral Line trains.

All trains incorporate two spaces designated for wheelchair users. These are situated adjacent to the driver/guard's accommodation and are clearly signed on the outside of the trains.
